This release contains 2 new features, which are hidden, but can be activated in the admin panel for Organizations. We plan to roll out both features for all Organizations in 3.0.0, which will be released soon. Also this release includes our own MeshHealing Algorithms which replaces the Materialise Robot MeshHealing.

New Checkout and Orders (hidden)

We want to update our User Panel to give it the same look and technology that is used for the Service Panel. And it starts with the Checkout. The Checkout now comes in a fresh look. Also, many improvements where done in the backend. Instead of (mis-)using the open source Framework django-oscar that is used in the old checkout, we now crafted our own ordering process which fits our needs and is easier to maintain and more extendable in the future. Also it enables us to publish a Order API soon.

Besides the Frontend Change and the Improvements in the Backend, the new checkout comes with a couple of new features:

Pickup Locations

As a Printing Service, it is now possible to define one or multiple Pickup Locations. The buyer can then select a predefined PickUp Location, instead of choosing a Shipping Address and Method.

Vouchers

As a Printing Service, it is now possible to create Vouchers directly in the Service Panel.

Configurable Company Information

It is now possible to configure, whether Company information (Company Name, VAT ID, Department) are either mandatory, optional or hidden.

Order Notes (Confirmation, Invoice, Delivery Note) (hidden)

In the process of processing several orders, a printing Service is dealing with creating multiple order notes per order. These confirm the customer Inquiry, inform him about the shipping of the ordered parts and inform him about the outstanding payment. For this 3YOURMIND is introducing the Order Notes.

This new feature enables you to create

1. Order Confirmation,

2. Delivery Notes and

3. Invoices

on the fly while customizing them to your needs. With 3YOURMIND Order Notes, we automize another component in managing orders and removing the manual labor that is involved. 

Create customized Order Notes

Order notes are smoothly integrated in the Service Panel. In each order you can find the option to configure, save and access new order notes as PDF. 

Hide thumbnails

If you don't want to make confidential 3D model data visible during shipping, you can simply disable the part thumbnails on the delivery notes.

Customize your Layout

In the settings you can define payment and shipping Conditions as well as an individual footer for all Order Notes. In case you have a strict design guideline to follow within your company, we can also easily implement your HTML Template.

Customize your order number

You can configure customized prefixes for all Order Notes, so that you can be 100% sure to avoid conflicting document numbers within your company.

Meshhealing

Finally, after developing 2 years on it this release introduces our 3YOURMIND MeshHealing solution wich is better and faster then Robot. The platform still requires Robot since it still operates in test mode: If the 3YOURMIND MeshHealer fails to repair a file, Robot serves as a FallBack. This will be removed soon.

Other notable changes

• When the new Checkout is active, the extended registration also contains inputs for the Company information (Company Name, VAT ID, Department) wich can be configured to be mandatory, optional or hidden.

• When the new Checkout is active, the extended registration also contains inputs for Customer Number (Name of this Field can be customized)
• The Pricing on the Project when changing the Quantity page was fixed
