The Material Inventory (Experimental)

The material inventory is an experimental feature that introduces the ability to create material lots and view a stock level overview. This feature can be activated via a switch in the admin panel and accessed through the navigation menu element Inventory.

Activating the Material Inventory

To enable the experimental Inventory functionality, navigate to Home › B3_Migration › Switches and create the switch EnableMaterialInventory.

Creating Material Lots

To create material lots:

  1. Access the material inventory page.

  2. Click Create Lot above the inventory lot table.

After opening the lot creation drawer:

Upload attachments, such as quality documents or delivery notes, by editing the lot after it is created.

Configured material lots can be assigned to jobs via their Accessing Job Details .

Inventory Lot Table

The inventory lot table displays all created material lots and provides options to edit or delete them via icons that appear when hovering over a table row.

Material

Material which the material lot object belongs to. All existing material lots for a material are taken into account to calculate the overall stock level of this material.

Lot ID

Internal identifier given to the material lot upon lot creation. The Lot ID will be used and displayed when assigning a material lot to any print job for traceability.

External Lot ID

Additional optional lot ID to reference the lot number provided by suppliers.

Current stock

Current stock amount of the respective lot, can be updated via edit lot functionality.

Updated at

Timestamp of the last update made to this material lot.

Updated by

User who performed the last update to this material lot.

Created at

Material lot creation timestamp.

Created by

User who initially created the material lot.

Attachments

Counter indicating the number of attachments uploaded to this material lot.
