Sorting Printed Parts with AM-Vision

An integration to AM-FLOW's AM-Vision part sorting solution can be enabled to increase efficiency on the shop floor by automatically sorting parts into their next step or order bucket without human interaction.

Basic part information such as

• 3D geometry (STL)

• Workflow and workflow steps

• Material and color information

• Order and customer information

can be automatically forwarded to AM-Vision for all incoming orders and parts. When parts pass through the AM-Vision system, they are recognized and automatically sorted according to the defined sorting rule.

To ensure a properly working integration, an AM-Vision workstation needs to be configured in the MES and assigned to every workflow step preceding a sorting operation. Further customers are required to create a dedicated AM-Vision user and an API token for this respective user. This can be set up in the admin panel with support from 3YD and am-flow.
