Enabling Manual Pricing Rules
Overview
As a Printing Service, you can set Manual Pricing Rules per material. Those rules determine in which cases a part will have to be priced manually by you. Parts can be priced manually by default or only if certain conditions are met, e.g. quantity of ordered parts is greater than 10.
If a customer triggers a manual pricing rule she will be informed that “Pricing [is] Required”. In that case, she can only send a Request to the Printing Service - but not order or create a Quote directly. The Printing Service can process the Request, provide pricing information and thus return a Quote to the customer.
Enable Manual Pricing for Materials
Manual Pricing Rules determine in which cases a part will have to be priced manually by a Printing Service. Manual pricing rules have to be set for each material individually.
To configure Manual Pricing Rules
Go to Materials.
Select your Material of choice.
And click on Manual Pricing.
Enable one or several pricing rules by ticking the box and entering the details.
Save your changes.
To turn on Manual Pricing by Default
Activate “Quantity is greater than”
Fill in value “0”
Enable Manual Pricing for Post-processing Methods
To configure Manual Pricing for a Post-processing Method
Go to Materials.
Select your Material of choice.
Select Post-processings.
Select your Post-processing of choice.
In the right-hand drawer scroll down and select Enable Manual Pricing.
Save your changes.
