Part Screening, Business Case & Qualification
Conventional Materials Replacement
The new release of material comparison & recommendation is smarter than ever. Based on the part details, the material comparison list is straightaway filtered with part requirements such as UTS, Young Modulus, Elongation & Material. This is a major step toward material recommendation.
Request parts for quotation easier with PDF export
With the new PDF Export function, it is now possible to easily share part details with external suppliers.
PDF Export button is accessible in the bottom of the quick access part view. When clicking the corresponding button, a PDF is open in the web browser environment and can be download as any other PDF.
By default, all part properties will be visible. Visibility can be handled in the platform backend in the Form Step Group section.
An entire form step can be disabled, resulting in hiding the entire section from the PDF
Each visibility of Form Properties can also be managed by checking/unchecking the “SHOW ON PDF” option
Better Data Analytics
Ease the way of accessing analytic dashboard. Better access to custom dashboard and metrics that matter to your organization to increase AM qualification & production.
From the navigation panel, directly access to analytic dashboards faster decision-making based on KPIs. This new feature is built on the existing analytics framework, configuring or re-use dashboard has never been easier.
More Part Assessment Scores
Technology Assessment Update
We are excited to introduce an improved technology assessment, designed to evaluate the suitability of various manufacturing technologies for your 3D printing projects. This function comprehensively considers key parameters such as
Material class
Wall thickness
Part volume
Part dimensions
Aspect ratio, and
Tolerances
It provides a detailed analysis of the best fitting technology as well as potential issues and missing information.
CNC Machining Cost Estimate
First version of our CNC Milling estimation is now available, taking into account technology and material parameters for an estimation of milling costs.
Part Complexity KPI
We added a new KPI card to our default assessment logic. Taking into account volume and surface area of the part, this card highlights a part overall geometrical complexity, ranging from 0 to 100%
Part Assessment Scores & KPIs linked to AM technologies
Scores can now be linked to technologies in the admin panel, allowing for easier data analytics and automation. The Technology dropdown can be found at the bottom of the Score Detail page in Admin Panel.
See Part Costs and Savings for possible technologies only
Cost and Savings scores were reconfigured to only run, if the tech check for the respective technology has passed. Offering easier aggregation and more accurate display of data.
Quality Management & Machine Connection
Efficient Job Creation with upfront validation of Magics CSV import
With this update, we are introducing enhanced validation of the Magics CSV import file when creating jobs. Previously it could have happened that some parts were not imported or not imported in the specified quantity without informing the user. The enhanced validation now clearly indicates any issues present in the CSV file. This allows the user to act accordingly and make sure that the created job results always in the expected number of parts and their quantity - thus avoiding potential issues during the Quality Assurance step before sending out an order.

"User Updated" Webhook to keep user data in sync across enterprise software
With the launch of a new webhook, "User Updated," it is now easier to keep downstream systems, like CRMs, in sync with user data changes in our platform. This update addresses the need for consistent user information across integrated systems.
