Automatic Assembly Detection for 2D & 3D Uploads
We’re excited to introduce Automatic Assembly Recognition in the 3YOURMIND software, which will enhance Part Identification workflows for 2D and 3D files. This solution solves the problem of users' inability to easily identify whether uploaded files are assemblies, leading to confusion in manufacturability assessments and inefficiencies when filtering irrelevant parts for analysis.
What’s New
Auto-Detection of Assemblies:
The software automatically identifies if an uploaded file (3D or 2D) is an assembly and sets theis_assembly
property. No manual input required.Clear Visibility in Part List & Reports:
Assemblies are now clearly marked in both the Part List and Part Report. This helps users instantly recognize assemblies without relying on naming conventions or manual tagging.
Benefits
✅ Improved Decision-Making for 3D Assemblies
Customers can now easily spot assemblies, assess manufacturability accurately, and decide on part consolidation without confusion.✅ Effective Filtering for 2D Drawings
For customers working with 2D drawings, assembly drawings—often not suitable for manufacturability or cost analysis — are now identifiable. Users can exclude them from expert reviews and focus on relevant single-part drawings.✅ Reduced Errors & Manual Effort:
Eliminate guesswork and manual property setting.
Distributed Manufacturing
Improved 3D File Upload Experience with Clear Progress and Feedback
We’ve redesigned the 3D file upload experience in the User Panel and Internal Ordering to make it faster, more transparent, and more reliable. This update is part of a broader effort to enhance the basket experience—giving users greater confidence and control when uploading files.
What’s New
Persistent Upload Progress Bar
Users now see a clearly visible and persistent progress bar that tracks the number of files being uploaded and analyzed, providing real-time feedback throughout the process.Error Handling and Retry Option
If any uploads fail, users are shown clear, actionable error messages. Failed uploads can be retried immediately without restarting the entire process.
Benefits
✅ Greater Transparency:
Users stay informed during uploads, with clear feedback and status for each file.✅ Faster Troubleshooting:
Failures are immediately visible and actionable, reducing friction in the upload process.✅ Better Handling of Bulk Uploads:
Uploading large or multiple files is now more manageable, efficient, and user-friendly.
Improved Batch Management for Large Orders
Managing large orders just got easier. With new date planning features for batches, operators gain more control and clarity in high-volume production scenarios. This update supports better scheduling, delivery coordination, and invoicing.
What’s New
Batch Target Date and Estimated Finish Date
Operators can now define a target date per batch and view the system-calculated estimated finish date based on workflow and job durations. This helps plan production and delivery more effectively. The extra date columns can be shown or hidden per part depending on the need.Streamlined Column Display
The multiple job columns are now represented by a single Jobs column. Columns have also been rearranged and resized to prioritize key information, improving readability and reducing horizontal scrolling.
Benefits
✅ Better Planning for Large Orders:
Structure and visualize production timelines for each batch to support phased delivery or invoicing.✅ Cleaner Interface:
The simplified column structure helps users focus on what matters without distraction.

Customizable Display Order for Materials and Post-Processings
We've upgraded our system to allow Services to strategically order offered materials and post-processings (PPs) in the basket. Previously dictated by alphabetical order, the display can now be customized to prioritize offerings, such as placing best-selling materials at the top of the list. This flexibility is managed through an intuitive drag-and-drop interface in the Service settings, allowing services to highlight preferred options directly to customers. The new ordering is reflected across materials and PPs dropdowns in each line of the internal ordering system and in the basket's material configuration wizard. This enhancement not only streamlines the user experience but also aligns the materials presentation with business priorities, ensuring that key products are immediately visible and accessible to users.

Search by Filename
When searching for projects or sales transactions (requests, quotes, orders), MES parts, or MES jobs, you can now use filenames of uploaded 3D files as search criteria. This enables you to quickly locate and identify projects and orders, as well as specific parts or jobs, involving repeat files. It facilitates a swift review of previous projects helping to prevent duplicative work and further streamline operations.

This functionality was initially released in version 25.1, but due to observed side effects on page loading times, we postponed it to version 25.4 to resolve these issues.
Other Improvements
Enhanced Text Formatting for Catalog Descriptions
We've upgraded the Catalog Description field to support richer text formatting, allowing for more detailed and visually appealing descriptions. This enhancement enables easy formatting of text with headers, lists, and line breaks to better convey the features and details of your products. This functionality utilizes Markdown syntax, a straightforward way to implement text formatting, ensuring that your catalog entries are both informative and attractive. This update significantly improves how descriptions are displayed, moving beyond the previous single-line limitation to embrace a more flexible and engaging format.
Deprecation of Product Options Feature
We are phasing out the Product Options feature, which allowed for customization of material names on a per-organization basis. As part of this transition, the ability to create new Product Options was already restricted in version 22.10. Given that we no longer host customers on shared cloud servers, this change will primarily involve backend updates without affecting existing customers. For those who have utilized this functionality, we will ensure that all custom material names are seamlessly integrated into the standard material database, maintaining continuity in the user interface.

Deprecation of statement_timeout setting in the backend
Starting with this release, the app won’t set a database statement timeout anymore. The setting was in place to limit queries which are taking too long. We recommend administrators to set the statement timeout at database level:
ALTER DATABASE threeyd SET statement_timeout = '3min';
