Overview

Manual Pricing is an alternative way of setting a price for an order. Instead of using an automatic Pricing Formula, your Printing Service can calculate a more precise price using their own calculations manually, and then submit it to the customer.

As a Printing Service, you can set Manual Pricing Rules per material. Those rules determine in which cases a part will have to be priced manually by you. Parts can be priced manually by default or only if certain conditions are met, e.g. quantity of ordered parts is greater than 10.

If a customer triggers a manual pricing rule she will be informed that “Pricing [is] Required”. In that case, she can only send a Request to the Printing Service - but not order or create a Quote directly. The Printing Service can process the Request, provide pricing information and thus return a Quote to the customer.
