ERP

Saving up to 75% time for end-users in finding the latest project-relevant information

The project list & detail views save up to 75% time for end-users in finding the current status of a requested project with one or more parts. After successfully implementing it in the service panel, we now rolled it out on the user panel side.

Projects are created every time a user makes a new request to produce a certain part(s). Independent of the current status (quoted, ordered, or canceled), the user can find their project in that one table and does not have to search across 3 different tables.

All attachments and comments related to a project, across all steps, are grouped in the project detail view. This avoids the user needing to click through many links in order to answer a comment or find the right attachment to download.

Printability Analysis is easier to find & understand

The 3D viewer is opened in 27% of sessions, mainly to check on the printability of a part. Users now need to perform one click less by making the Printability Analysis the first thing they see when opening the viewer.

In addition, users who opened the viewer before selecting a material did not understand why they could not see wall thickness or build chamber analysis. This is now clearly communicated towards a guided next-step experience.

Price breakdown restructured for most relevant information in one glance

For Service users, it is important to have an overview of the order volume grouped by material and by post-processing. We are now showing these numbers directly in the new Summary section and save you the time you would have spent otherwise calculating those manually.

More efficiency in making thumbnails available in downstream systems

We know that Services often process order data from 3YOURMIND downstream in their own ERP or reporting tools. We have now included our auto-generated thumbnails in the zip download of 3d files to allow for consistent recognition of parts when handling order information in downstream systems.

By including thumbnails in the 3d file bulk download, services save four minutes (on ten orders with three parts each) compared to a manual download of thumbnails.

Information on how to enable thumbnail download is available in our documentation:

Never miss new user attachments anymore

Whenever a user uploads a new attachment to any request, quote, or order, you are now instantly notified via email. This helps you from losing any precious time where you are waiting for missing customer information. The notifications also work the other way around when attachments are uploaded in the Service Panel.

MES

Easier production scheduling with new job creation flow

Hundreds of jobs are being created in the 3YOURMIND Agile MES on a daily basis. Together with our MES users, we improved the job creation process by reworking the job creation page. We moved the entire job creation into a standalone page, saving users about 20% of time due to increased stability and a reduced the likelihood of making mistakes during the scheduling process.

Increased stability in job creation via Magics CSV import

Stability of Magics CSV import for job creation has been improved. Empty lines, unknown parts and unmatched quantities are now handled and let users create jobs - making manual adjustments to the CSV file obsolete.

Bug Fixes

PLM

  • You spent time configuring the columns you want to see to explore the Part List. But it would eventually switch back to the default settings after approximately 1 hour. This has been solved. So, from now on, once you have configured the columns in the Part List, you will never again have to worry about it.

  • You may have experienced when trying to import a CSV file, that nothing happened when clicking the “Start” button. It was probably because the CSV file was not valid and we could not proceed with the import. But we did not explain it in the interface and probably left you to puzzle about what was going on. This has been solved and you will now see a proper explanation when you try to upload a non-valid CSV file.

  • Customers using only PLM had an annoying experience when going to the User Settings page because they were presented the menu for ERP on the left panel. This release fixed this issue.

  • For some customers using only PLM, the Part List was not loading after logging. This was due to the query string contained in the URL and it has been solved.

ERP

  • With release 4.7.0 we renamed the Digital Inventory to Catalog. Now we have also updated the corresponding URL, e.g. https://demo.3yourmind.com/user-panel/catalog. In case you have any bookmarks pointing to the Catalog directly, you may want to update those bookmarks.

  • Bulk update of orders now correctly prevents setting orders back to “Pending” that are already in progress

  • We fixed an issue on Request and Quote tables where selecting all statuses in the filter would result in an empty result list.

  • A bug prevented changing of a service’s logo. That is now fixed and logos can be changed again.

  • Cloning the material of an orientation optimized material did not allow to create a quote or order. This has been fixed.

MES

  • The “On production sheet” toggle was missing when configuring workflow steps, this is now fixed.

API Changes

This only affects customers who use our Digital Inventory API.

Under the hood, we renamed our digital-Inventory to catalog. This also renames some API Resources in a Backwards incompatible manner. All occurrences of inventory must be replaced with catalog.
