In order to connect the machines, the Network Administrator responsible for setting up the aggregator, needs to know some information:
A list of Printers
An API Token
A Service ID
1. Obtain a list of printers
This can be done by a Network Administrator
For each printer that should get connected, the following information must be knows:
Printer Type
IP Address
Port
2. Obtaining an API Token
This can be done by anyone with access to the Admin Panel
Login to the 3YOURMIND Platform with a user that has access to the admin panel
Go to Users
Click Add User in the top right corner
Enter as username: machine_connectivity (or similar)
Enter any long random password. You won’t need it later.
Click Save and continue editing
Enter a valid Email Address
Click Save
Go back to the homepage of the admin panel
Go to User profiles
Click on machine_connectivity
Make sure that the user is assigned to the correct site / domain
Go back to the homepage of the admin panel
Go to Fulfillment partner
Open the right Fulfillment partner
Add the machine_connectivite user to the list of users
Click Save
Go back to the homepage of the admin panel
Go to Tokens
Click Add Tokens
Select the machine_connectivity user
Click Save
Copy the Token.
Note that this is sensitive information and should only carefully be shared.
3. Obtaining the Service ID
This can be done by anyone with access to the Service Panel
The service ID is needed for configuring the aggregator.
Login to the 3YOURMIND Platform with a user that has access to the service panel
Visit https://[Your Domain]/api/v2.0/service-panel/services/
Note the “id“ of the service
