Through the Preferred due date, customers can let the Service know by what date they would like to receive each ordered part.
The date will be reflected in the order detail view so that the order coordinator can use it to prioritize the urgency of each part, independent of when the order was placed. This date can be used as a reference by production planners to prioritize urgent parts while creating the final job schedule. The preferred due date is used to automatically assign an internal production target date to parts.
Using the Preferred due date can be enabled in the admin panel. The field can be configured to be either an optional or mandatory input in the Basket.
