Part Identification

System Field (Equipment)

We're introducing a new, standardized "System" property to streamline how you track where parts are used. This update merges the functionality of the old "Used On" and "Platform" properties to improve data quality and support our upcoming 2D drawing extraction features.

New System Property

The existing standard property "Used On" and the custom property "Platform" have been replaced by a single, standard, and highly flexible property called "System".

Benefits

Multi-Select: Pre configured Search Function, allowing you to select multiple systems for a single part.

Easy Sorting: The "System" field is filterable and live-editable directly in the Part List.

Admin Panel Control: Values are now definable and manageable within the Admin Panel.

Enhanced User Experience: Users can now easily add new System values directly from the part editing interface.

A one-time data migration will be performed to ensure continuity for existing data.

Date Field

We're excited to introduce new date functionalities to help you better manage your parts and projects! This update brings a standard "Due Date" property and the ability to define custom date properties.

New Due Date Property to Prioritize Urgent Part Requests

The new standard property, "Due Date", is now available for all parts.

Benefits

New Type: It's a date type field; the underlying storage format is yyyy-MM-dd. Display and editing will use your browser's defined date format for user convenience.

Better Visibility & Editing: Viewable in the Form, Part List, and Part Detail views. Editable using a standard date picker.

Enhanced Part List Functionality: The Part List now allows for sorting on the Due Date. You can also filter parts using an "in-range" or "in-between" date filter. Nice-to-Have: Live editing of the Due Date directly in the Part List is planned for a future update.

Extract Part Number from File Name

We've added new functionality to extract Serial Numbers automatically from uploaded file names. Admins can now define a “regular expression” for extracting a Part Number from the filename of 3D Models & 2D Drawings. This streamlines the process, reduces manual inputs, ensures data continuity & reduces failures.

Improved Performance

We’ve improved the loading times of the Part List and the Part Detail Page by roughly 50%.

Catalog Part Creation Now Supports Color and Insert Selection

We've enhanced the Create Catalog Part workflow to allow for direct selection of post-processing colors and inserts. Previously, users had to resort to a workaround to define these attributes, leading to a more time-consuming process. This update streamlines part creation by exposing these options directly in the user interface, ensuring accurate part specifications from the start.

What's New

Color and Insert Selection: During Catalog part creation, you can now select from available post-processing colors and inserts directly from a dropdown menu. The selected options are stored and displayed consistently across all Catalog workflows.

Benefits

Improved Workflow Efficiency: Eliminates the need for a workaround to assign colors or inserts, saving time and reducing manual effort.

Enhanced Transparency: Users now have full visibility into the selected color or insert options when viewing a Catalog part.

Other Improvements

Faster Project Lists

We’ve optimized the pagination system for project lists in the Service Workspace to load significantly faster by removing the total page and item count. This allows you to navigate large lists with improved speed and responsiveness.

Configurable Overproduction Setting

Overproduction can now be enabled or disabled per Fulfillment Partner in the admin panel. When disabled, the system prevents producing more parts than ordered, and overproduction-related UI elements are hidden.

Admin Panel: Clone Material

We’ve added a new "clone" action to the Material Database in the Admin Panel, making it simple to create a custom material by copying the properties of any existing standard or custom material.
