Aggregator Setup Preparations

In order to connect the machines, the Network Administrator responsible for setting up the aggregator, needs to collect the following information:

  1. A list of network details for each connected printer

  2. An API token

  3. Service ID for each location

1. Obtain a list of printers

This can be done by a Company Network Administrator

For each printer that should get connected, the following information must be known:

  • Printer Type

  • IP Address

  • Access Port

2. Generating an API Token

This can be done by anyone with access to the 3YOURMIND Admin Panel

Setup a User

  1. Login to the 3YOURMIND Platform as a user that has access to the admin panel

  2. Go to Administration > Users

  3. Click Add User

  4. Enter as username: machine_connectivity (or similar)

  5. Enter a long random password. You won’t need it later.

  6. Click Save and continue editing

  7. Enter a valid Email Address

  8. Click Save

 

Provide Access to the Organization’s Fulfillment partners

  1. Return to the homepage of the admin panel

  2. Go to User profiles

  3. Click on the user you just created (machine_connectivity (or similar))

  4. Make sure that the user is assigned to the correct site / domain

  5. Go back to the homepage of the admin panel

  6. Go to Fulfillment partner

  7. Open each service under the Fulfillment partner List

  8. Add the user you created (machine_connectivity) user to the list of users

  9. Click Save

 

Create User Token

  1. Go back to the homepage of the admin panel

  2. Go to Users under Authentication and Authorization

  3. Search for the machine_connectivity user

  4. Click Create Token

The token is only displayed only in the pop-up and not accessible later on.

Make sure to copy the token right away.

5. Copy the Token.
Note that this is sensitive information and should only carefully be shared.

3. Obtaining the Service ID

The service ID is needed for configuring the aggregator.

  1. Login to the 3YOURMIND Platform with a user that has access to the service panel

  2. Visit https://[Your Domain]/api/v2.0/service-panel/services/

  3. Note the “id“ of the service

How can I determine the URL of my EOS machine?

Make sure the machine is running EOSCONNECT. Access the machine’s API documentation: https://si2381/api, replace si2381 with the actual ID of the machine. Navigate to the OPC UA Documentation and look for the Endpoint URL.
