Setting up CNAME for your Organization
“A Canonical Name or CNAME record is a type of DNS record that maps an alias name to a true or canonical domain name. CNAME records are typically used to map a subdomain such as www
or mail
to the domain hosting that subdomain's content."

Desired CNAME for 3YD platform access: cname.domain.com
Current domain for 3YD platform access: organization.3yourmind.com
Our engineers will generate the SSL certificate and they will provide the required information for configuring your DNS records. We will notify you with an email.
Map a CNAME to 3YD SaaS hosted platforms
After you receive the email from our team, please execute the following steps:
1.Add a CNAME record mapping the new domain with the platform
[cname]. CNAME [organization.3yourmind.com].
Note: Please refer to the official documentation of your DNS provider on how to create and CNAME records.

Check and verify if your CNAME is mapped to 3YD app
Go to this web page DigWebInterface.com and enter the you CNAME as "hostname" (cname.domain.com ). Then click on the "Dig" button.
If the setup is correct, in the output you should see the new cname mapped the domain name of your platform:

Next steps
Let us know when you are ready with the DNS configuration and we will take care of the following:
Validating that the installed SSL Certificate has been vitrified and in use.
Validating your cname is correctly mapped to the 3YD platform.
Configuring the platform to be working under the new domain.
Configure our platform to send out E-Mails with the new domain. This process is documented here: Email Address Configuration
Note: Downtime up to 1 hour is possible during the switch to the new domain. You will be informed once the setup has been completed and the platform is ready under the new domain.
