Each user can store their own has a personal address book of different shipping locations to select from while ordering new parts. They can be managed in the profile or during the checkout sequence.

Some Enterprises rely on a centralized database to manage the allowed addresses for use by their users. These organization admins can disable the possibility for their users to edit addresses in the admin panel
