Kubernetes is preferred as it is supporting faster and simpler deployments. Furthermore, the IT Teams have native support for load balancing which can make the application faster. At the same time, you increase resource utilization and enable fine tuned scaling on a component level. Also, monitoring is heavily improved as it is natively supported by Kubernetes.
